COMMA's May 12th End-of-Session Showcase & Reception featured

student compositions, poetry readings, art displays, and teacher talks! 

The first 5 weeks of COMMA's fall 2018 semester focused on nature and how it inspires the creation of music, poetry, and art! This segment culminated in a field trip to the UC Berkeley Botanical Gardens on October 6th.

It was a magical day listening to Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony in the Redwoods, taking a guided tour, writing, and creating art in the great outdoors! 

Encounter-the-arts opportunities in 2018

"Iron Shoes" at The Ashby Stage,

Mozart's "Abduction from the Seraglio" in Livermore,

Les Miserables at The Orpheum, & 

the premiere of Michael's newest symphony by the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra!

We took it in, it added depth to our souls, and we had fun!!

Grateful for the beginning of it all at COMMA in 2018!
